The original or classic version of the game offers 9 paylines. Due to the game’s overwhelming success, it was recently re-launched in a new version known as “Book of Ra Deluxe” or “Book of Ra 2”, which offers 10 paylines.
Book of Ra takes place in the mysterious world of Ancient Egypt. The symbols include a Pharaoh, the Goddess Cleopatra, a Scarab, and an “Indiana Jones” type Archaeologist and the Golden Book of Ra, as well as the generic Ace, King, Queen, Jack and 10.
Book of Ra is a game where it’s aim is to complete a line of two to five like symbols from left to right, on adjacent reals. In this game, The “Golden Book of Ra” functions like a Wild symbol can substitute for all other symbols to complete a winning payline.
The symbols must appear on adjacent reels with only one exception to this rule – the Scatter symbol. It doesn’t have to appear on adjacent reels to trigger a win, as long as there are 3 or more symbols scattered anywhere on the reels, it will trigger the Bonus Rounds. The “Golden Book of Ra” symbol functions also as the Scatter symbol.
Book of Ra Paylines and Bets
Number of playlines are not fixed, determining the player how many lines to activate (up to 9 lines – classic version, and up to 10 – Deluxe version). The number of activated paylines can be changed at any time.
In the Book of Ra game, the bet per line can also be adjusted at any time during the game, offering great flexibility to the player. As the game starts, minimum bet will be shown on the bottom of the screen. The player can then use the + / – buttons for adjusting the bet.
The display on the bottom of the screen will show the total bet per spin, calculated as the bet per line x the number of lines activated (for example, if 10 lines are activated, and the bet per line is €0.04, the total bet for the spin will be €0.40).
